Cloud for FL House

State house candidate Tod Cloud earned his place on the August primary ballot. He became the first candidate in the race to reach the nearly 600 petition signatures needed to qualify for the ballot without paying a fee.

No other Republican in the race has submitted any petitions for validation. The lone Democrat in the race has 180 of the 599 verified signatures needed.

“Over 600 people made this achievement possible,” Tod Cloud said, who had 627 signatures total. “It may be my name on the top of the paper, but this campaign is about those people who signed their name on the bottom.”

Cloud also led the field in the number of individual donors who have contributed to his campaign after January.

“The momentum is building,” Cloud said, “but we’re just getting started.”
